Guess where Romney’s tax dodgers are

Mittwit is all up in arms (mostly because he got caught) about tax-payers who pay no income taxes (he ignores other taxes). Now as I know someone in this category personally I’ll ask Mittens a simple question, would you like to change places with him and thus pay 0% taxes?

But more to the point of irony, where are these deadbeats?

Huh, that looks a lot like the core of the Repug base.

  1. Oh yes, the Repugs are definitely inspired by ebola. Kill everything in your path, and fortunately for the rest of us, die out before they can kill everyone, everywhere.

Well he does seem to have partly cooked his goose with the latest disclosures. BUT, when I first heard the story I thought the speech was recent, but then learned it was back in May. Not that I mind, but they did mug him, by holding the full tape until this late in the election cycle, piling on at a time when he’s made other mistakes.

I expect the campaign to really turn dirty now. I know our local asshole, Ricketts, is preparing his big anti-Obama spending and he’ll certainly do low blows. As it appears that Romney will lose the nasty zillionaire spending will just go really negative, since they may figure if Romney is going to lose anyway, why not dirty up Obama? But Romney is doing this whole campaign out of personal ambition and with, as far as I can tell, absolutely zero personal convictions (except ambition and greed, but no political philosophy). This is his last shot so if he begins to believe he’s going to lose I think he’ll go scorched earth as vindictive revenge. This may actually help Dems in general, win a couple of other races as Repugs show how extremist they are and more and more of the other candidates have to disassociate from Romney, but how do you avoid the taint of Repugs in general (the same reason Akin really hurts them, just denouncing him without simultaneously denouncing the political platform that effectively is saying same thing as he is).

Plus I keep hearing this “unleash Ryan” crap. Sounds just like Palin “going rogue”. Ryan is so full of himself. Even his “support” of Romney’s speech had lots of overtones of arrogance (i.e. “I, Paul Ryan, were never be that stupid, even though I believe all the same things”, so Romney is a terrible campaigner, but I’m brilliant).

At this point resetting the campaign to positive is almost impossible so as they lose more and more they can do little but go more negative. Even when Bob Dole knew he was going to get clobbered he didn’t do scorched earth, but these guys are so arrogant they will.

      • You may be right, but I’m not so sure. I think many other Repugs running for House and Senate will start to distance themselves, and the big money guys will back off. They may be greedy, but they aren’t dumb. It begins to look more and more like they’ve lost this round, so they have to get ready for the next. Alienating people won’t do that. I think it’s more likely that they’ll treat Romney like a leper. Don’t forget, one of the biggest donors, our old Comdex “friend” Shelley Adelson, will do anything he can to protect Israel. If it looks like BO will win, I don’t think he’s going to want to alienate him.
