The election is over now

First there was the news that Mittens’ lead with seniors was almost completely erased shortly after he picked Mr. Kill-Medicare Ryan (no fooling those greyhairs where R&R expect to get the money for their tax cuts for the rich).

But now, horror of horrors, according to this article Obama is now leading Mittens among NASCAR voters, probably the last bastion of the Archie Bunker whining undereducated white males. Now if Mittwit can’t hold this group what’s next for him to lose, maybe skinny long-blonde-haired shrews, aka. Ann Coulter.

So the NASCAR crowd must rationalize that Obama has had a skin bleach so they can now stand to look at him because Mittens’ palling around with the NASCAR owners, and as Bill Maher put it, short Jews, may be the last straw for them. Finally they’re seeing that sense of entitlement and that Mittens has exactly one policy (all the rest are Etch-A-Sketch) and that is getting his own taxes down to 1% so can hang out even more in isolated cliques of the super-wealthy. Duh, guys, it took you this long to figure this out.

If Mittens continues on his present course (amusing to see blasts-from-the-past articles, as in primary season, about how well organized Mittwit’s campaign is, given the current piling on about how stupid they are) we can trust Mitt to alienate virtually every one of the staunch Repug constituencies (the religinuts are already blaming his mormonism that god didn’t smite Obama). Wow, how can one guy do so much to wreck the Repug party?

But, unfortunately we can’t count him completely out yet. Desperate folks try desperate things. Bibi may still attack Iran 8 days before the election. Ricketts may put out some lies in his dirty Citizen United ads that Obama is the illegitimate son of a Kenyan witch immaculately impregnated by Satan. Wall Street may decide to crash the economy again days before the election. Someone from France may say something insulting to the U.S. Mittens might promise to reinstate slavery and get rid of the vote for women and make jebus head of supreme court. Even a broken clock is right twice a day so after so many strikeouts Mitt’s hapless campaign staff might fall into some scam that works.

But it is amazing to me how much Mittwit has lost this. It’s not just that he’s “stiff” like John Kerry was and thus can’t connect. This guy has such an amazing sense of entitlement of the rich that he actually wears in on his sleeve where even all the denial by FauxNews can’t put lipstick on this pig. He is a rich guy who has lived in a bubble all his life and that comes through. He has no core convictions and instead only has ambition (to add one more item to his resume to improve his entry into celestial heaven) and burning desire to have 1% tax rate and it shows. He can’t conceal that it’s not just 47% of us he can’t stand, it’s 99% of us he can’t stand, including all those traditional lower class Repug racists. The public is just another Seamus to be put in a cage and placed on the roof. And the only thing the witless Repugs wingnuts, i.e. Coulter, can believe is that somehow Chris Christie would have been better!

Amazing, who’d a-thunk-it?

very funny, especially about the “pants on fire” twins observations. Don’t you hate to see the election over, they provide so much funny material without trying.

There is definitely funny material but I will be glad for it to be over since the tension it creates about our future is sometimes hard to bear. Matt Taibbi claimed months ago that there was no contest and merely that the press would make it look like a horserace to thus have something to talk about. I don’t think it was clearly “over” months ago and I still fear that calling it “over” today could backfire as anything is possible.

Our politicians are idiots who think very little of the people they represent. Just like your lot!

Well after the bad first debate performance Obama has made it close again. I wonder what he’ll do to get back in the lead. It would be really awful if he blows this and we get stuck with Mittwit who will really bankrupt the country with more absurd tax cuts for the rich. I sometimes think Mittens is just running in order to reduce his own tax rate to 1% and thereby make another billion, pure selfishness to pad his own pocket.

Wait until tomorrow’s debate. Ryan will terrify everyone except the far right. Biden is like everyone’s uncle whom you forgive no matter what he says. I know Biden will fight to keep from rolling his eyes.
