Sometimes a short post is sufficient because there is really not much to say, just aghast with my mouth hanging open about how stupid this is.
52% of Repugs believe ACORN stole the election. In 2008, that is. Given the contrived “sting” of ACORN and all the other nonsense that’s understandable, crazy, of course, but understandable for people who live in the FauxNews bubble.
So it turns out that a few of these seriously deluded idiots have learned something as a recent survey indicates that not only 49% of Repugs believe ACORN stole the election. But not the 2008 election when ACORN actually existed, no, they believe this about the 2012 election when ACORN NO LONGER EXISTS. Imagine that, a zombie organization rose from the dead to throw an entire election. Of course since some many Repugs believe in resurrection, without evidence, it’s not too surprising they’d credit a non-existent organization for doing.
But as the article goes on to point out 39% of Americans have an opinion (support or oppose) Bowles/Simpson, surprisingly small (although they might know it better as the cliff). OTOH, 25% of the public has an opinion about Panetta/Burns, even a bit smaller, but of course, completely surprising, given there is no such thing as Panetta/Burns, demonstrating that at least one of four Americans is not even a good liar.
So what excuse will the wingnuts come up with next week to explain away why they lost an election, especially after the Congressional Repugs continue to demonstrate they don’t care about tax cuts, at least in general, but only tax cuts for the rich. Who is actually left who doesn’t realize the Repugs are purely the lackeys of the rich, not the 1%, but that wonderful really tiny fraction that make most of the 1% look like paupers. But then we all know that Boner/Runyan is still going to get the majority of the Repug vote after the fiscal cliff is passed and taxes are reduced for everyone.
